Kukicha is made from the stems and twigs which have been separated from the leaves during processing.
Kukicha is made from the stems and twigs of shaded Sencha, which contains a higher level of L-Theanine, the sweet element of Japanese green tea, than that of non-shaded Sencha.
We process our Kukicha at a high temperature, skilfully controlled for an enhanced aroma that compliments its deep umami flavour.
The tea is also light and refreshing.
