Shipping policy

Standard Shipping

The courier company we use to despatch your green tea orders is Royal Mail. It helps us process orders as soon as we receive them and ship them in no more than 48 hours* after that.

The cost of the standard shipping that is executed via Royal Mail Tracked 48 Service or Royal Mail Tracked 24 Service depends on the total weight of the items added to your basket. This delivery method gives you full access to tracking data, offers SMS/email notifications, and aims to deliver Hachisen tea to you in 2-3 working days.   

Please note that international standard shipping does not provide the same tracking benefits as standard shipping.  

*Our service hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. UK public holidays and weekends are our off-days. In conjunction with Royal Mail's pick up time any orders received after 4:00 PM will be processed and mailed the next working day.

Shipping Schedule

The UK: 2-5 business days

Europe: 3-7 business days

Rest of the World: 5-14 business days

Please note that the above numbers are subject to change if delays occur. Since delays are beyond our control, please allow a few more days (up to a week) for your delivery to come. International orders may take longer to arrive due to some unforeseen custom screenings.    

UK Delivery Fees

When calculating delivery charges, we take into account your order’s final size and weight (i.e. the entire package from bottom to the top). It’s important for you to note that the measurements indicated on the tea itself represent the tea amount with no packaging in mind.  

Kindly note that due to the size of the product and its value, we are only able to pack it as a small parcel or medium parcel in order to ensure the product arrives to you safely and in one piece.

International/Non-UK Delivery Fees

International shipments are done through Royal Mail Standard Airmail. You have the choice of International Tracked or International Tracked & Signed shipping option. Depending on the ‘zone’ you’re in, the delivery time will vary (see the table below).

Customs & Duty Fees

European Union (EU) doesn’t impose any custom or duty fees on our products. That said, Non-EU countries may apply certain fees - check with your local customs for more accurate information. Please note that any additional fees are your responsibility.

 

Delivery Terms & Conditions

Your order will be despatched to the address provided in the order details.

A failed delivery resulting from an incorrect shipping address mentioned during the checkout is not our responsibility. The same applies to public places mentioned as shipping addresses.   

Please note that Royal Mail provides service updates associated with possible delays/delivery disruptions. Keep a close eye on their page to stay up-to-date.   

 

Missing Order

Depending on the service used to make an order, you might encounter some delays during busy times. Please consult with this page to find a solution to your problem.  

 

Refunds

Any request for a refund must be made within 48 hours of receipt of the goods.

Refunds are allowed under the following conditions:-

(1) As part of the cancellation process (refer to “Cancellations & Returns” section)

(2) You did not receive the placed order (or part thereof).

(3) You received the wrong product type.

(4) You received a damaged product.

NOTE: You will not be entitled a refund if the goods have been opened.

In order for the refund to be processed, you will need to provide the following:-

(1) The written reason for the refund request.

(2) Photographic evidence of the goods in question.

(3) Detailed description of the situation to support your claim.

 

Cancellations & Returns

If, for any reason, you wish to cancel your order, you must inform us in writing of your intentions within 48 hours upon placing the order. Any cancellations made during non-working days (re: weekends and public holidays) will be processed the next working day.

You must return the product(s) to us at your expense in its original packaging, intact and supported by all the accessories and documents that were part of the delivery. We will refund any monies related to the order within 30 days of receiving the notice of cancellation, and upon receipt of the returned goods in re-saleable condition.
